CHECKING WHERE YOU SAVE ANYTHING

Knowing where you save your files, folders or pictures is very important.  The simple diagram below explains how the computer asks where you want to save things so that you can find them later on. 
If you save all photographs in My Pictures (or Pictures) and all other documents in My Documents or (Documents), you should be able to keep track of where things go.
 
 
Whenever you click SAVE or SAVE AS the following box (or similar appears)
This allows you to choose where you want to save the file to
so that you
KNOW WHERE IT IS LOCATED
In this window the important bits to check are:
Creating New Folders for new sets of photographs is really easy and important to help you seperate your pictures into dates, locations, events or other categories.
